Pete Labbat

Group Managing Partner

Pete is a Group Managing Partner and Co-Head of Business Development. He is also Vice Chair of ECP where he is involved in all areas of investment activities, serving as Chairman of the Investment Committee and Valuation Committee. Pete is also a member of ECP's Management Committee and serves on the Risk and ESG Committees.

Pete serves on the boards of Next Wave Energy Partners, LP,  and Harvestone Low Carbon Partners GP, LLC.

Prior to joining ECP in 2006, Pete spent 13 years in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division, where he had senior-level coverage responsibility for electric and gas utilities and independent power companies throughout the United States and was responsible for mergers and acquisitions in the natural resources sector.

Pete received a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
