VIPR provides the data and workflow infrastructure used by insurers, managing agents and brokers to exchange risk, premium and claims data.

VIPR's technology platform supports the full Delegated Authority lifecycle, from partner onboarding and data submission through to processing, validation, storage, reporting and analytics. Delegated Authority is the part of the insurance market where a carrier delegates underwriting to a third party, and the resulting data is exchanged in industry-standard files known as bordereaux.

Founded in 2009 to address bordereaux processing in the Lloyd's market, VIPR today processes approximately $12bn of gross written premium, for blue-chip customers globally including around half of Lloyd's Managing Agents.

The business operates across the UK, US and wider international markets. The addressable market in which VIPR operates is growing as bordereaux volumes rise, regulatory scrutiny of delegated underwriting intensifies, and insurers seek real-time visibility of the risk written on their behalf.

“Bridgepoint brings the scale, experience and international reach to help us move faster. Together, we will accelerate investment in our platform, expand our AI capabilities, grow internationally and continue to strengthen VIPR’s position at the forefront of insurance technology.”
